How to play Block Puzzle
Block Puzzle is a calm placement game. You are given three blocks — single squares, bars, corners, squares and a few bigger shapes — and you place them anywhere they fit on the board. When a row or a column is completely filled it clears, freeing the space again. Once all three blocks are down you get three more. There is no gravity and nothing falls: the only way to lose is to be left with three blocks that fit nowhere.
Blocks cannot be rotated, so the puzzle is in where you put them. Every square you place scores a point, and clearing lines scores much more — clearing two or three lines with a single block is worth several times as much as clearing them one at a time.
Modes
- Classic 8×8 — the standard board, untimed.
- Big 10×10 — more room and bigger line bonuses, untimed.
- Timed — the 8×8 board with two minutes on the clock. It pauses when you switch tabs or press Pause.
- Daily — everyone gets the same blocks in the same order today, so your score is comparable.
Tips
- Keep one large open area. A board broken into small pockets is how games end.
- Save room for the 3×3 shapes: they are the blocks most likely to have nowhere to go.
- Build towards clearing a row and a column with the same block — the crossing square counts for both.
- Before placing the last block in your tray, check the other two still fit afterwards.

Why is a block greyed out?
It does not fit anywhere on the board right now. If all three are greyed out, the game is over.
Is this the same as the falling-blocks game?
No. Our Cascade is the falling-blocks game with gravity and rotation. Here nothing moves once placed and there is no clock in Classic or Big.
