Atlas Quest FAQ

Everything important about play, progress, privacy, offline use and support.

Is Atlas Quest free?

Yes. Atlas Quest is free and ad-free. It has no paid gameplay content, energy system or account requirement.

Where is my progress stored?

Scores, mastery, Passport stamps, achievements, Daily results and settings are stored locally in your browser. They are not synced to a SnackPack account. Use Export progress in the game to download a portable JSON backup before clearing browser data or changing devices.

Can I install and play Atlas Quest offline?

Yes. First open Atlas Quest successfully while online. Then use your browser's Install or Add to Home Screen option. Test it once in airplane mode before relying on it away from a connection.

How do hints and scoring work?

Hints become progressively more specific. Early clues identify a broad region; later clues can outline or centre the relevant area. Each extra clue reduces the points still available, so you can choose between a higher score and more guidance. Untimed learning modes remain available when you want practice without pressure.

What is the Daily Challenge?

It is one deterministic geography round for the current day. It works offline, can be replayed for practice and keeps its result and return streak on your device. Missing a day does not erase the streak you already built.

What are Passport stamps and achievements?

They are device-local milestones for exploring modes, answering questions and building geography mastery. Goals remain visible while locked and become coloured when earned. Stamps and achievements do not require an account and can be carried in an exported progress backup.

Where does the geography information come from?

Atlas Quest uses reviewed sources including Natural Earth, UN M49, World Bank and Unicode CLDR data. Exact releases, definitions, review dates and licence notices appear in the game's Credits & data sources screen. Dataset names within suitable questions can also be opened for a plain-language explanation.

How do I report an incorrect question or get help?

Use Privacy, support & feedback from the Atlas Quest main menu, or email support@snackpackuniverse.com. Include the question text, the answer you expected, and your device and browser if the issue is technical.

How do I update the game if an old version is cached?

Reconnect to the internet, close any other Atlas Quest tabs, reopen the game and reload once. If a problem remains, export your progress first, clear Atlas Quest site data in the browser, and load the game again while online.

Does supporting Atlas Quest unlock anything?

No. Optional financial support unlocks no content, account or gameplay advantage. The complete game remains free and ad-free. Stripe handles the external payment page; Atlas Quest does not send it your gameplay or learning progress.
