How TriPeaks Solitaire works
Twenty-eight cards are dealt into three overlapping peaks — three cards at the tips, then six, then nine, all resting on a shared base row of ten. One card starts face up on the waste pile and the remaining twenty-three form the stock.
A card can be played only when nothing overlaps it. At the start that means the ten base-row cards; every card you remove uncovers more of the peaks above. Any uncovered card that is one rank above or below the waste card can be moved onto it, and suits are ignored completely. When nothing is playable, turn a card from the stock. Clear all twenty-eight to win.
Streak scoring, and why it changes how you play
This is what separates TriPeaks from Golf Solitaire, which shares the one-rank-up-or-down rule. Every card you play without drawing is worth more than the last: the first scores 1, the second 2, the third 3, and so on. Drawing from the stock resets the chain to zero.
The practical effect is that the greedy move is often the wrong one. Playing a card the moment it becomes legal can strand the run you were building; holding it and taking a different route can be worth several times as much. Clearing a whole peak pays a 15 point bonus, and clearing the board pays 30.
Every deal here is winnable
Many TriPeaks deals are not. We measured it while building the deal pool: across 1,671 random deals with round-the-corner off, 28% could not be cleared at all — more than one in four, no matter how well you play. Almost no implementation tells you which one you have been given.
So this one does not deal at random. Every board comes from a pool checked in advance by a solver that plays the deal out to a genuine win, and each is verified under both rule settings so toggling round-the-corner mid-game can never hand you a dead board. If you get stuck here, a line existed — which is the only version of this game where a hint is honest. It is the same guarantee our Klondike Solitaire and FreeCell already make.
Round the corner
By default an Ace joins only a 2, and a King only a Queen. Turn on round the corner and the ranks wrap, so King and Ace count as neighbours too. It makes deals noticeably easier and longer streaks far more achievable.

How many cards are in TriPeaks?
A full 52-card deck: 28 in the three peaks, 23 in the stock, and 1 turned face up to start the waste pile.
Are all TriPeaks deals winnable?
Not in general. We solved 1,671 random deals and 28% of them were impossible with round-the-corner off. Every deal on this page comes from a pool of 1,200 boards verified winnable in advance, so all of them can be cleared here.
Does suit matter in TriPeaks?
No. Only rank matters. A card is playable if it is exactly one rank above or below the waste card, whatever its suit.
How is the score calculated?
Each card played without drawing is worth one more than the previous card in the chain: 1, then 2, then 3, and so on. Drawing resets the chain. Clearing a peak adds 15, and clearing the whole board adds 30.
What is the Daily deal?
Turn on Daily and everyone playing that day gets the same board, so scores are directly comparable. Starting a new deal leaves Daily mode — a daily is one board, and re-dealing it while still calling it today's would be misleading.
Can I play offline?
