Tap the stock to turn a new card. A column card is playable when it is exactly one rank above or below the waste card — suit is irrelevant.
How Golf Solitaire works
Thirty-five cards are dealt into seven columns of five, all face up, so nothing is hidden — every decision is one you can actually reason about. One card sits face up on the waste pile, and the rest form the stock.
You may take the exposed card at the foot of any column and move it to the waste whenever it is one rank above or below the current waste card. Suits are ignored entirely, which is what makes Golf quicker to read than Klondike. When nothing is playable, turn a card from the stock. Clear all seven columns to win; run the stock out with no move available and the deal is over.
Round the corner
By default an Ace only joins a 2, and a King only joins a Queen. Turn on round the corner and the ranks wrap, so Ace and King count as neighbours too. It makes deals noticeably more winnable and is the variant many players prefer.
