How to play Penalty Shootout
It's you against the computer in a classic football penalty shootout. Each side takes five penalty kicks, and whoever scores more wins. You play both roles every round: first you take a kick, then you try to save the computer's kick.
When you're shooting, choose a corner — left, centre, or right. The goalkeeper commits to a direction at the same moment; if they guess wrong, the ball hits the net. When you're saving, pick which way to dive — guess the same direction the striker shoots and you'll keep it out. After five kicks each, if the score is level, it goes to sudden death: one kick each per round until someone comes out ahead.
Tips to win the shootout
- Mix up your corners. A smart keeper will read a pattern, so don't keep aiming the same way.
- The centre is sneaky. Keepers often dive to a side, so straight down the middle can pay off.
- When saving, watch the rhythm. On harder levels the computer is a better shooter — trust your read and commit.
- Stay cool in sudden death. One save or one goal can settle it; don't get predictable when it matters most.
