A four-page library story about a windblown poem and choosing when to share your work.

Wise Owl opens the library and finds Quill-Berry waiting outside with a folded page. “I wrote something,” Quill whispers, “but I am not sure I can share it.”

A gust slips through the door and carries the poem beneath a table. Quill-Berry freezes, certain everyone will laugh if they read it.

Meow-inara finds the page but does not read it. She returns it in the quiet corner and asks, “Would you like one friendly listener?”

Quill-Berry reads her story to two friends, then four, then the whole afternoon circle. Wise Owl adds a blank page to the display for whatever Quill writes next.
It let Quill choose when and with whom to share. Meow-inara respected Quill and offered one friendly listener.
