Zoo World

This Privacy Policy applies to SnackPack: Zoo World, a mobile app published by SnackPack Studios. Zoo World is a child-directed animal learning adventure for kids, students, and families where players meet animals, earn badges, play mini-games, read stories, explore conservation profiles, and collect stickers. This page explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and what choices you have.

Effective date: September 14, 2026

Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to SnackPack: Zoo World on Android and iOS. Zoo World is designed as a child-directed, family-friendly learning app for kids and students. It does not ask for a learner's birth year, does not require an account, and keeps detailed gameplay progress local to the device.

Information the app handles

  • Game progress and preferences: The app stores met animals, earned badges, mini-game scores, sticker counts, visits, streaks, selected theme, optional player name, notification choices, and sound settings locally on your device.
  • Coarse app diagnostics: Zoo World sends RevenueCat aggregate counts and fixed status values such as animals met, books finished, current keeper rank, days since first use, paywall views, store-offer readiness, coarse checkout and restore outcomes, and notification choice. It does not send animal IDs, the optional player name, search text, exact event timestamps, or detailed scores.
  • Bundled images and credits: Zoo World includes animal, story, gallery, and conservation images in the app bundle. Some image credit or source information may be shown in the app for attribution.
  • Premium unlock status: If you buy the optional premium unlock, the app stores whether your device has an active entitlement so paid features stay unlocked. See "In-app purchases" below.
  • Device-level technical information: Platform providers (Google Play, Apple) may process technical data such as device type, operating system version, IP address, crash reports, or diagnostics when needed to operate their services.
  • Support contact information: If you email SnackPack Studios for support, the email address and information you include in your message may be received and retained for support purposes.

Information the app does not collect

  • No account required: Zoo World does not require you to create an account or sign in.
  • No advertising or cross-app tracking: The app does not show third-party ads, use the device advertising identifier (AD_ID), or use cross-app tracking tools.
  • No detailed gameplay upload: Animal IDs, badge IDs, scores, stickers, player names, search text, and exact activity times stay on the device. Only the coarse counts and fixed status values described above are sent to RevenueCat.
  • No microphone: Zoo World does not request microphone or speech-recognition permission.
  • No location or contacts: The app does not request access to your location or contacts. Saving a wallpaper uses the platform's photo-saving control only after a grown-up passes the parental gate.

Local storage and images

Zoo World relies on local, on-device storage for game state, detailed progress, badges, sticker counts, preferences, optional player name, notification choices, and unlock status. The app also bundles curated animal, story, gallery, and conservation images so core learning content can display without downloading detailed progress from a server. Local information generally remains on your device until you reset it in the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app.

Online image and platform services

Zoo World is designed around bundled content, but story pages may optionally load credited wildlife images from Unsplash when an internet connection and app configuration are available. Those requests may disclose normal technical request information to the image provider, such as IP address, device/browser metadata, and the image query or image identifier needed to return the photo. The app does not include account sign-in, advertising, or cross-app tracking.

In-app purchases

Zoo World offers an optional premium unlock. Purchases are processed by the platform's billing system - Google Play Billing on Android and the App Store on iOS. Purchase and restore options are placed behind a parental gate so they are not triggered by children. SnackPack Studios does not receive or store your payment card details. To deliver and restore purchases, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service that validates store receipts and manages entitlements. RevenueCat may process a randomly generated app user identifier, a device identifier used for fraud prevention and to restore purchases to the correct device, together with purchase and receipt information for this purpose. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy and the store's own terms for how payment information is handled.

How information is used

  • To operate the app: including saving progress, animals met, badges, mini-game results, and preferences.
  • To deliver paid features: including unlocking and restoring premium content you've purchased.
  • To maintain and improve the app: including fixing bugs and diagnosing crashes.
  • To respond to support requests: if you contact SnackPack Studios directly.

Children's privacy

Zoo World is designed as a child-directed app for kids, students, and families and is built to align with Google Play's Families policy and Apple's guidelines for kids' apps. It does not require an account, does not show ads, does not use the advertising identifier, and does not use cross-app tracking. Detailed gameplay data stays on the device; only coarse counts and fixed status values are sent to RevenueCat as described above. Grown-up actions, purchases, external links, and wallpaper saving are placed behind a parental gate. SnackPack Studios does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support email, contact us and we will delete it.

Sharing and disclosure

SnackPack Studios does not sell personal information. Information may be shared only when reasonably necessary to operate the app, to use standard platform services such as app distribution and crash handling, to comply with legal obligations, or to respond to lawful requests.

Retention and security

Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to help protect information handled by the app, including the use of secure on-device storage for sensitive local values. Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app and support, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements. Support emails may be retained for follow-up and recordkeeping.

Your choices

  • App data: You can remove all locally stored data by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.
  • Notifications: Notifications are off by default. A grown-up can enable or disable individual local reminders in the Parent Zone and can change permission in device settings.
  • Photos: A grown-up can choose whether to save or share a wallpaper; Zoo World never changes the device wallpaper itself.
  • Purchases: You can manage purchases through your Google Play or App Store account settings.
  • Support requests: You can choose whether to contact SnackPack Studios by email.

Requesting data deletion

Zoo World relies on local, on-device storage for progress, badges, mini-game scores, and preferences, so uninstalling the app removes that information from your device. For any information generated off-device, email privacy@snackpackuniverse.com from the account or with the device details used with Zoo World and request deletion.

What this covers: if you purchased the premium unlock, the RevenueCat purchase/entitlement record associated with your device (product identifiers, transaction information, the app user identifier generated for purchase handling, and the device identifier used for fraud prevention and purchase restoration) will be deleted from RevenueCat within 30 days of a verified request. Support emails may be retained separately for recordkeeping as described above.

Platform-specific privacy requirements

Zoo World is distributed on Google Play and may also be submitted to the Apple App Store. For Apple review, the iOS build keeps its app-level privacy manifest current for required-reason APIs used by shipped dependencies such as preferences storage, secure local storage, file access, and disk-space checks. The Google Play Data safety form and Families policy disclosures are kept consistent with the practices described here. If platform-specific privacy practices change in future releases, this page and the related store disclosures will be updated accordingly.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The version published on this page is the current version, and the effective date will be updated when material changes are made.
