Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to SnackPack: Zoo World on Android and iOS. Zoo World is designed as a child-directed, family-friendly learning app for kids and students. It uses a neutral family setup gate based on learner birth year, does not require an account, and is built to keep gameplay progress local to the device.
Information the app handles
- Game progress and preferences: The app stores met animals, earned badges, mini-game scores, sticker counts, visits, streaks, selected theme, family setup mode, and sound settings. This information is saved locally on your device.
- Bundled images and credits: Zoo World includes animal, story, gallery, and conservation images in the app bundle. Some image credit or source information may be shown in the app for attribution.
- Voice search, if used: Zoo World may request microphone and speech-recognition permission for optional animal search by voice. Speech recognition is handled by the device/platform speech service; SnackPack Studios does not receive or store voice recordings.
- Premium unlock status: Zoo World includes an optional premium unlock. If it is enabled in a future release, the app stores whether your device has an active entitlement so paid features stay unlocked. See "In-app purchases" below.
- Device-level technical information: Platform providers (Google Play, Apple) may process technical data such as device type, operating system version, IP address, crash reports, or diagnostics when needed to operate their services.
- Support contact information: If you email SnackPack Studios for support, the email address and information you include in your message may be received and retained for support purposes.
Information the app does not collect
- No account required: Zoo World does not require you to create an account or sign in.
- No advertising: The app does not show third-party ads and does not use the device advertising identifier (AD_ID).
- No analytics or tracking SDKs: The app does not use third-party analytics or cross-app tracking tools.
- No gameplay data sent to SnackPack Studios servers: Zoo World stores gameplay progress on the device and does not upload animal progress, badges, scores, stickers, or streaks to SnackPack Studios servers.
- No voice recording stored by SnackPack Studios: If voice search is used, the app requests microphone/speech permission only to turn speech into search text. SnackPack Studios does not receive or store audio.
- No location, contacts, or photos: The app does not request access to your location, contacts, photo library, or similar personal data.
Local storage and images
Zoo World relies on local, on-device storage for game state, progress, badges, sticker counts, preferences, family setup mode, and unlock status. The app also bundles curated animal, story, gallery, and conservation images so core learning content can display without needing to download your progress from a server. Local information generally remains on your device until you reset it in the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. The app does not sync gameplay data to SnackPack Studios servers.
Online image and platform services
Zoo World is designed around bundled content, but some builds may optionally load credited wildlife images from image providers such as Unsplash when an internet connection and app configuration are available. Those requests may disclose normal technical request information to the image provider, such as IP address, device/browser metadata, and the image query or image identifier needed to return the photo. The app does not include account sign-in, advertising, analytics tracking, or gameplay-progress uploads to SnackPack Studios servers.
In-app purchases
Zoo World offers an optional premium unlock. In the current release, in-app billing is not enabled, so the app does not process any purchases or payment information. If billing is enabled in a future update, purchases will be handled by the platform's billing system - Google Play Billing on Android and the App Store on iOS - and purchase and restore options will be placed behind a parental gate so they are not triggered by children. SnackPack Studios does not receive or store payment card details. This policy will be updated to describe any purchase-management service used before billing goes live.
How information is used
- To operate the app: including saving progress, animals met, badges, mini-game results, and preferences.
- To deliver paid features: including unlocking and restoring premium content if billing is enabled.
- To maintain and improve the app: including fixing bugs and diagnosing crashes.
- To respond to support requests: if you contact SnackPack Studios directly.
Children's privacy
Zoo World is designed as a child-directed app for kids, students, and families and is built to align with Google Play's Families policy and Apple's guidelines for kids' apps. It does not require an account, does not show ads, does not use the advertising identifier, and does not use analytics or cross-app tracking SDKs. Gameplay data stays on the device. The app uses a neutral family setup gate, and grown-up or purchase options are placed behind a parental gate. SnackPack Studios does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support email, contact us and we will delete it.
Sharing and disclosure
SnackPack Studios does not sell personal information. Information may be shared only when reasonably necessary to operate the app, to use standard platform services such as app distribution and crash handling, to comply with legal obligations, or to respond to lawful requests.
Retention and security
Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to help protect information handled by the app, including the use of secure on-device storage for sensitive local values. Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app and support, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements. Support emails may be retained for follow-up and recordkeeping.
Your choices
- App data: You can remove all locally stored data by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.
- Purchases: If billing is enabled, you can manage purchases through your Google Play or App Store account settings.
- Support requests: You can choose whether to contact SnackPack Studios by email.
Requesting data deletion
Zoo World relies on local, on-device storage for progress, badges, mini-game scores, and preferences, so uninstalling the app removes that information from your device. For any information generated off-device, email privacy@snackpackuniverse.com from the account or with the device details used with Zoo World and request deletion.
What this covers: in the current release, in-app billing is not enabled, so there is no RevenueCat purchase record tied to this app yet. If billing is enabled in a future update, the RevenueCat purchase/entitlement record associated with your device (product identifiers, transaction information, the app user identifier generated for purchase handling, and the device identifier used for fraud prevention and purchase restoration) will be deleted from RevenueCat within 30 days of a verified request, and this policy will be updated accordingly. Support emails may be retained separately for recordkeeping as described above.
Platform-specific privacy requirements
Zoo World is distributed on Google Play and may also be submitted to the Apple App Store. For Apple review, the iOS build keeps its app-level privacy manifest current for required-reason APIs used by shipped dependencies such as preferences storage, secure local storage, file access, and disk-space checks. The Google Play Data safety form and Families policy disclosures are kept consistent with the practices described here. If platform-specific privacy practices change in future releases, this page and the related store disclosures will be updated accordingly.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The version published on this page is the current version, and the effective date will be updated when material changes are made.
